Traditional double and single action small frame revolver with transfer bar. Steel barrel, steel cylinder chamber sleeves, internal parts, release, and sights built into an alloy frame, with alloy cylinder, and with factory goncalo target stocks. 6 rounds .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle. No hypervelocity, Stinger or Xpediter. 3 1/2 inch tapered barrel. pinned into the frame. Bore is 5 groove 1:16 right hand. Sights are serrated blade front on a serrated solid rib, with windage and elevation adjustable rear. Hammer is .375 short serrated spur with .240 serrated face service width trigger. Ignition is flat hammer face against floating firing pin. Dimensions are 1.31 inches cylinder dia.; 8 1/2 oal, 5 height; weight 14 1/2 ounces empty. Mechanism is perfect; we believe this revolver was never fired since its 6 test rounds at the factory in 1971. Forcing cone gap = .006. Revolver has been lubricated but never cleaned. Finish is polished surface blued, gloss black anodized alloy, and color casehardened trigger and hammer. Grips are glossy finish, original issue. Surface detractions are negligible, no more cylinder rotation marking than any other new S&W. We rate this 43 as Near Mint and Unfired, but photos ought to suffice. C&R / Curio & Relic Status, and transferable to California Civilians as such. Not transferable to non C&R Civilians in Massachusetts.
