Antique Double Barrel pistol / Boot gun
No Markings Possible Early Ethan Allen make or Cival War era.
A reproduction would have the "Ethan Allen Hopes" lettering stamled on the top of the barrels, this black powder pistol is cleam of any maker marks or stamping.
This is a Double Single shot style pistol. It features two hammers and one trigger. The hammers have a 1/4 calk and full calk positions. When both hammers are locked , the trigger will fire one cylinder at a time, the trigger , set within a trigger guard, can be pulled to fire the cylinders consecutively for a 1-2 shot with only one pull. You may also only pull the trigger partially to fire only one cylinder while the second cylinder stays loaded and ready for action.
The Percussion nipples are in nice shape for the age. Overall the pistol shows some wear and usage but is in very nice working order with a subtle patina look to it. No pitting or notable corrosion can be seen.
