There is no shortage of L.C. Smith Field Grade 16ga. guns. They made 38,678 of them. HOWEVER, HOW MANY DO YOU THINK REMAIN IN 99.5% FACTORY NEW CONDITION? Likely not more than a few hundred or so. This L.C. Smith Field 16ga. snFW141279 made in 1935, is crisp and near new, with only a few minor handling marks and 99.5% vivid factory case color, barrel blue, trigger guard blue, and even wood finish. The gun was made by Hunter Arms of Fulton, New York. The finishes are all definitively factory original, not restored. The case color is brilliant, and that only happens when the gun was kept in the dark. There are no signs of any rust or oxidation. Look at the photos…THIS IS NOT A RESTORED GUN! An amazing find, with good shooting dimensions, and offered at a price that is affordable to most. Thanks for looking and don’t miss this great opportunity to own a rare L.C. Smith Field Grade gun in near new condition. You can see the specifications below. On guns we consider “COLLECTOR QUALITY” we do not alter them, instead leaving that decision up to the new owner. The chambers on this gun are still the original 2 9/16” chambers. There is lots of wall thickness on this gun, so we can easily make them 2 ¾’ with 1 ½” long forcing cones for $400 within a few days of purchase. We have lots of 2 ½” RST shells here for sale. Additionally, if you read about shooting 2 ¾” shells in American made shotguns with short chambers, you will realize you can shoot moderate 2 ¾” shells in these 2 9/16” chambers without risk of damage. If you don’t know why, call and ask. We don’t need a lot of narrative here, the gun is like new, tight in every way, perfect screws, perfect checkering, perfect bores…just a great collector quality gun. Thanks for looking!
