One of its standout features is the cold hammer-forged barrel. This process involves shaping the barrel by hammering it around a mandrel, resulting in a more consistent grain structure. The end result is a highly accurate and long-lasting barrel.
The T3's action is made from a solid steel billet and features a two-lug bolt with a 70-degree lift. This shorter bolt lift allows for faster cycling of rounds, giving the shooter an edge in situations requiring rapid follow-up shots.
Arguably the most compelling feature of the Tikka T3 is its accuracy. The rifle comes with a sub-MOA (Minute of Angle) accuracy guarantee, which is rather impressive for a factory rifle in its price range. Many users report even tighter groupings, and this level of precision has become one of the hallmarks of the Tikka brand

This little beauty was such a pleasure to shoot. About 50 to 75 rounds fired through it while I worked up an accuracy load. Sadly, selling all my rifles since I quit hunting and Covid came along. Still went to the range to work up loads for them for a year or so till I retired. Sold my Ducks Unlimited Remington Commerative 700 BDL .30-06 and sold my Weatherby Vanguard .25-06. Now selling my Tikka, the Savage 110 Hunter 6.5 Creedmoor and the Savage Desert Tactical 6mm. My son doesn’t shoot or hunt, so selling all on Guns America for great prices so I don’t have to consign them. Not selling my first rifle: Remington 722 .257 Roberts. That rifle taught me to reload.
